Billy is a LaMancha goat, this breed has tiny little ears. A frequently asked question about LaManchas at the sanctuary is what happened to them, but it is natural for their breed!
Billy was the mascot for the Orem animal shelter for four years. The shelter had gotten him as a baby from a defunct petting zoo. He arrived at Ching in 2005. Everyone there loved him. One day new management came along and they decided to get rid of him so they turned him over to Ching and he has been at here ever since. Because of all of his years spent as an office goat, he is very friendly and very smart. We have to have extra latches on all of our gates because he can open anything that doesn't require an opposable thumb to unlatch.
