Jake is another goat who is a cast off of the petting zoo industry. He was born in 1998 at Thanksgiving Point, a local petting zoo in the Salt Lake area. When he was little, he was allowed to roam the entire zoo and he was bottle fed by people. He knew his name and would come running when he was called. Because of this, he was really imprinted to humans and he spent no time with the other goats that were penned up. But as he got older and bigger, he would jump on picnic tables and became a "nuisance". The zoo then tried to put him with the other goats when he was just under one year old, but he didn't get along with them, so the zoo then decided to send him to auction. Lucky for Jake, Faith had stopped by that day as she likes to inspect petting zoos to make sure they take care of their animals. She brought him home that day and he was very scared when he first arrived. It took Jake a long time to get used to the other goats, but he did and eventually became leader of the herd. He is old now though, and lives in the special needs area.
