Nubie came in May of 2003 from Salt Lake County Animal Services. He had been picked up as stray, with a number glued to his forehead. Turns out he had escaped from the livestock auction, but nobody from there claimed him or knew who had owned him. He was only about one year old or so, still small and with short little horns. He was named after his breed, which is Nubian. Nubians have big floppy ears and round noses. It took over a week for that glued-on number to finally fall off his forehead, he was so scared we couldn't just go up and cut if off! Now he is older and more trusting, memories of that horrible livestock auction long gone and faded.
