Ted lived free in Woodscross for 10 years. He would roam around his neighborhood going from house to house and yard to yard. He was loved by many and soon became known as "The Goat of Woodscross". He would mostly hang out with some horses in the area, but those were the only other animals around. He never met another goat until he came to Ching Sanctuary! It took those 10 years, but the people with the horses who would feed Ted decided enough was enough and they put him in a local newspaper ad as "free to a good home". As you may know, goat is the number one eaten meat in the world and this sort of ad attracts those that would use him for a BBQ. Faith couldn't let this happen so contacted the people to warn them, they wanted him to go to a nice home, not become someone's meal. They convinced Faith to bring him to the sanctuary to live out his days safe and sound. To this day he still identifies strongly with horse and lives in the barn, his best friend was Doc until Doc passed away. He is a very sweet man and at night when the older horses get their senior feed, he'll get a small dish of treats for himself.
