Sassy came when she was 4 years old from Las Vegas. Her people had lost their home and had boarded her down there for as long as they were able to. They drove Sassy all the way up here to sign her over to Ching, and were well-meaning, but she was put in a crate that was too small and was obviously in distress when she arrived. She had cross-hatch impressions on her face when they let her out, and she was suffering from heat exhaustion. Her first weeks at Ching involved having to get disinfectant sprayed or rubbed on her face and she was scared to death. Now she is good friends with R.J. and lives up to her name!
