Barbedos Sheep | Rosie | Sheila | Pa & Baby

Rosie was born on a cold February morning in 2003 up the road from the sanctuary to people who kept a small herd. Rosie was abandoned by her mother - she refused to feed her and wouldn't even go near her. The people could not care for a newborn - they require constant care and feedings every two hours - so they turned her over to Faith and the sanctuary. Deva the dog instantly took to mothering the newborn and was very protective of her. She lived in the house in diapers and as she got a little older she would jump up on all the furniture and kitchen counters. Rosie would also follow Faith around the sanctuary, just like "Mary had a Little Lamb"! Everywhere that Faith went, Rosie was sure to go. When Faith would take her outside, she took particular interest in the llamas and when she was weened, she bonded with them and to this day is never far from her Bandit and Boogie.
