Items available at Intermountain Farmers Association (IFA) in Riverton or SLC:
- Purina Senior Food for senior horses - 50 lb. bag is approx. $17.00 - we use 2 per week.
- Purina Ultium for horses - 50 lb. bag is approx. $21.50 - we use 2 per week.
- "Legacy" (joint supplement) for senior horses - $22.00 - we use 1 per week.
- Beet Pulp (pelleted) - 50 lb bag - approx $15.00 - we use 1 bag per week.
- Ching Farm Custom Blend Pot-Bellied Pig Food - 50 lb bag is approx. $13.00 - we use 7 per week.
- Rolled, crimped Oats - 50 lb bag is approx. $13.00.
- Mineral Blocks (for goats, horses, llamas) 25 lb block is approx. $6.00 - we use 4 per month.
- Salt Blocks - for sheep horses, goats - 25 lb block is approx $6.00 - we use 1 per month.
- Rubbermaid Big Wheel Cart 5642 (Wheel Barrow), 7.5 Cubic Feet - the kind with two wheels!
- 150 - 300 gallon Rubbermaid livestock tanks.
- Water heaters for Rubbermaid livestock tanks - not the floating kind (the animals can chew thru the wires!)
Things that can be gotten just about anywhere:
- 50 pound bags of grain:
- whole corn
- cracked corn
- wheat
- chicken scratch
- Corn Oil (for senior horses) - we use 1 gallon per week (generic brand is approx $5.00).
- Used or new blankets for the pigs (we collect these year round).
- $$$ for farrier - approx cost is $35.00 per horse - we have 26 horses (our horses are behind on footcare). Or, if you are a farrier, please consider donating your time!
- $$$ for hay - we use 1/2 ton per DAY - cost is $95.00 per 1/2 ton (end of June that cost is cut in half through October).
We have many other needs such as new fencing made of 5' x 16' Wire Horse Panals available at any farm supply or fencing store (or can be found used!)
