- 150 - 300 gallon Rubbermaid livestock tanks.
- Water heaters for Rubbermaid livestock tanks - not the floating kind (the animals can chew thru the wires!)
- Solar Panels. For a few hundred dollars, many farm supply stores have large solar panals available and we'd love to have some to supply electricity to our barn, green house, and pig houses.
Other Needs:
- Farrier Services (or money to pay for them) - approx. cost is $35 per horse (our horses need done every couple of months). Or, if you are a farrier, please consider donating your time!
- Money for hay - we use 1/2 ton alfalfa and oat/grass hay per DAY - cost is soaring, and prices are supposed to continue to rise. If you have good hay to donate, please know that we do NOT have the means to transport it here, we would need you to deliver it and quite possibly stack it.
We have many other needs such as new fencing made of 5' x 16' Wire Horse Panals available at any farm supply or fencing store (or can be found used!). We have gotten most of our fencing changed over to this kind of panal, but there are still gaps and we still need more!
We do NOT accept:
- Dog Food
- Old or Mouldy Hay, or Hay with weeds like foxtails
If you are able to supply us with any of these items, please contact us at volunteer@chingsanctuary.org to arrange a drop off (please don't just show up, we may not be home!) and THANK YOU!
